Itinerary

1. Day
Upon arrival in Berlin airport you meet your tour escort who will accompany the group throughout. You board your motorcoach and drive northward to Parchim and explore the city on a walking tour. Visit of St. Mary's Church with its valuable interior. Continue on to Schwerin, capital of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. Overnight and dinner. D

2. Day
Schwerin: Boat tour on the Inner Lake of Schwerin with a great view of the town, Castle Island and Dome. Visit of the Dome, a three-nave Gothic basilica and one of the largest churches in the north of Germany with a Gothic three-wings altar and one of the oldest Ladegast organs. You continue to the Hanseatic city of Wismar, which received its town charter in 1229 and became one of the most powerful cities in the Hanseatic league. Guided city tour through the historic Old Town, which today is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Along the Baltic Sea coast the trip takes you to Bad Doberan, which includes a tour of the famous Gothic monastery church of the Cistercian Order and its unique interior. Overnight in the Rostock area. B,D

3. Day
Rostock: In the morning time to explore the city on your own. You board your motor coach again for Stralsund with its unique silhouette, characterised by the twin-tower facade of the Gothic-style Nikolai church and the magnificent building next to it, the Gothic Town Hall, the St Jacob and St Mary's churches. In the afternoon, city tour through the UNESCO-designated heritage site with a vast number of Gothic brick gabled houses and monastery facilities. Visit to the German Maritime Museum at the St Catherine's monastery. Overnight in Stralsund. B,D

4. Day
The tour continues along the sea shore to the island of Rugen with its variety of witnesses of the brick Gothic era. You head on to Greifswald, Hanseatic city dominated by its university founded in 1456. The historic inner city is a must! Overnight in Greifswald. B,D

5. Day
In the morning you visit Greifswald and its brick church spires. A city tour will reveal the eventful history of the town with its famous painter Caspar David Friedrich hailing from here. You continue on via Anklam along the Peene river, the birth place of Otto Lilienthal, to Neubrandenburg, the "City of the Four Gates": Visit of St Mary's church which is considered one of the most beautiful brick stone churches in Northern Germany and was recently remodelled to the famous modern concert church. In the evening visit a concert at St. Mary's (subject to event calendar). Overnight in Neubrandenburg area. B,D

6. Day
Today you drive southward to your next destination Brandenburg to the Havel, over thousand year old city. The impressive city silhouette of the three church towers St. Catherine, St. Gotthard and St. Peter and Paul Cathedral shows up from a distance. Altogether seven churches, four city gates, an old monastery and historical market places form Brandenburg's architectural inheritance. Besides Havel creeks, the bridges and the three lakes at the city boundary impress the townscape in different facets. In the afternoon you drive to Berlin, capital of reunified Germany. Time at leisure. Overnight in Berlin. B,D

7. Day
Transfer to the airport and departure to your home country. B
