The next Passion Play will take place 15th May - 3rd October 2010 in the quaint Bavarian town Oberammergau - performed only once every ten years.
During the Thirty Years' War the population of Oberammergau suffered and complained many death caused by the plague. They vowed that they would perform "the suffering, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ" if they were spared from extinction. The Passion Play, involving half the Oberammergau population nowadays, started in 1634 and will be performed for the 41st time in 2010.

Take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Arriving in Oberammergau you will be welcomed and assited by our staff. Beginning in the afternoon the play has a running time of approx. five hours with a three-hour intermission. You will be served with lunch before the play starts and dinner during the interval from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm.
